1. Introduction
Welcome to Shamfix.ie, operated by ShamrockFix ("Shamfix", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Shamfix is an online marketplace platform that connects people who need local services ("Customers") with independent service providers ("Providers"). Shamfix does not provide services, does not employ Providers and is not a party to any agreements between Customers and Providers.
2. Registration and Accounts
- Users must create an account to post tasks or respond to tasks.
- All information must be accurate and kept up to date.
- Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials.
3. Posting Tasks
- Customers may create tasks describing the work they require.
- Tasks must comply with Irish and EU law and must not involve unsafe or illegal activities.
- Shamfix reserves the right to remove tasks that violate these Terms.
4. Providers
- Providers may create a public profile and respond to tasks.
- Providers are solely responsible for the legality, quality and safety of their services.
- Certain professions may require licences or certifications under Irish law. Providers are responsible for compliance.
5. Interaction Between Users
- Customers and Providers communicate directly after a Provider responds.
- Shamfix does not participate in negotiations, agreements or payments.
6. Payments
- All payments for services take place outside Shamfix, directly between Customer and Provider.
- Shamfix does not process, store, guarantee or mediate payments.
7. Reviews
- Customers may leave reviews after work is completed.
- Reviews must reflect genuine experience and be respectful.
- Shamfix may remove reviews that are false, harmful or violate these Terms.
8. User Content Rules
Users must not upload or share:
- illegal content
- offensive or harmful content
- misleading information or spam
- contact details outside designated profile fields
Shamfix may remove any content at its discretion.
9. Limitation of Liability
Shamfix is not liable for:
- the quality, delivery or outcome of services provided by Providers
- disputes between Customers and Providers
- financial loss, property damage or personal injury
- any actions taken by users outside the platform
The platform is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
10. Data Protection
We process personal data according to our Privacy Policy and GDPR.
11. Termination
- Shamfix may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or harm the platform.
- Users may delete their account at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time.
- Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
- Any disputes may be resolved through the Irish courts.
